Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the 100th Episode of Grey's Anatomy?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the 100th Episode of Grey's Anatomy?

Remember this pic of Jeffrey Dean Morgan and the cast of GA posing for the 100th episode of Grey’s Anatomy? And everyone starting speculating whether Denny would once again be reappearing.

Looks like Denny’s back! What does this mean for Izzie?? I don’t know what happens with him and Izzie, but hey, if it means JDM is back on TV, that’s good enough!

Jeffrey Dean Morgan did confirm he’d be coming back, but never revealed in what context:

Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirms that he’ll reprise his role as Denny on Grey’s Anatomy before the end of the season. But then that’s it. Really.

“I can confirm that I will be coming back one more time,” he revealed to us at last night’s Hollywood premiere of Star Trek. “I think it will be done after that. I think I have been on the Grey’s Anatomy set for the last time.”

Morgan wouldn’t say when exactly Denny turns up, but I can confirm that he’ll reappear as a figment of Izzie’s cancer-ravaged imagination in next Thursday’s wedding-themed 100th episode. “Denny has a reason to show up,” Morgan teases, “and it is probably tied to Izzie’s health.” Source

  • I think Izzie will miraculously recover and George will leave SGH instead.

For Izzie to recover from her supposedly inoperable and deathly tumor will be such a ridiculous thing, but they will somehow finagle it anyway.

    What a crap show.

See, I never watched GA. If it wasn't for Jeffrey, I'd still not watch it. And now that Jeffrey's time on it is over, I will stop watching it again.

I was never invested in GA or any of its characters of couples. Okay, I like George and Christine/Hunt, but other than that......blah. It's a bloody soap opera masquerading as medical drama, and I just don't watch soaps.

The only reason I ever watched GA is Jeffrey. And before I became a fan sometime late last year, I wasn't even aware that he had ever been in GA! I watched his episodes from season 2 and 3 that I'd missed and then of course the new episodes.

And honestly, I think the Izzie/Denny storyline was the best they ever had on GA, and they were by far the best couple ever. No matter what I may think of the show as such, those two had many fantastic scenes together (it's not that there are bad writers on GA, not at all) and their chemistry with each other is undeniable. For me personally, I'd say that I've seen Jeffrey's best acting on this show, especially in the episodes of this season.

So yeah, I am invested in the Izzie/Denny storyline.

Hence it shouldn't come as a surprise that I totally hate what it has become. It feels like Shonda Rhimes as defiled Denny's story.

She has only done the character a disservice this season by bringing him back - again. She's managed to turn people off him, even former Denny fans. That's no way to treat one of your favourite characters (by her own admission) and one of your favourite actors (she's said many times how much she "loves" Jeffrey and has often called him her muse).

As much as I enjoyed watching Jeffrey flex those acting muscles this season, there's no denying that the whole "ghost Denny" story was crap from start to finish.

And better don't get me started about the ending. UGH! There's this couple that were passionately in love once, that wanted to get married, the loves of each other's lives......and what it ends with is Izzie telling Denny that she hates him and telling him to fuck off......and then she marries this...THING!!!! I gotta puke! UGH!

So this is how this great love story is gonna end? With Izzie hating Denny and Denny having turned from this wonderful, vibrant man to a symbol of death?

    Shame on Shonda.

    Okay, rant's over.

  • Hey babe, I keep meaning to get back to you about this Denny thing!

I was never invested in the Denny storyline, but it seems like a pretty bad ending to it. Unless - when Shonda said all you need to know is in the first episode of the season. Will we see Izzie die and go off with Denny like in Izzie's first vision of Denny?

Thanks for the offer of the clips! I will see if I have somewhere to host them. I'm also trying to figure out this editing thing.

  • Give me a few days.....I've already edited out all Denny scenes from all episodes, and I will work on this last episode, too.

If you like, I can send you all the clips and you can perhaps host them.

But there're a lot of clips.....don't know if you want them all.

That said, I hated this latest episode. I really don't know why JDM still always goes back. Shonda totally killed the Denny story arc.

    I'm actually glad it's over. :-(

  • I was watching Supernatural so I DVRed it on the time shift station and just finished watching it.

    Very easy...

I am going to try to edit and upload it, but I am bad at techie thing like that.

  • Did you see him on the 100th Thursday? He's just so damned easy on the eyes. *sighs*

  • I like that idea!

He can remake Ghost with Demi Moore. And then Truly, Madly, Deeply, the movie with Allan Rickman. And It's A Wonderful Life. There's a whole career worth of movies he can remake!

  • n_two

maybe he's going to play ghost in every movie with his "dead" charachters... hmmm, Daddy John....
