Watchmen Moment #10 – Jeffrey Dean Morgan is The Comedian!

With Watchmen coming out on DVD July 21, I thought I’d go back and pick out my favourite Watchmen moments leading up to the movie’s release on March 6, 2009. I actually didn’t see a lot of these while posting them on my Livejournal, so between now and July 21 I’ll post my Top 10 Watchmen Moments.

Number 10

The one photo we’d been waiting to see – Jeffrey Dean Morgan in costume as The Comedian. Released at midnight March 6, 2008 on the official Watchmen site, this picture, along with the other cast pictures, generated days of posts online about whether Zack Snyder had the look of Watchmen right. But a lot of us didn’t care. We were just glad to finally have the picture!

Seriously badass is right!

I remember the fan reaction to this. It set off so many angry posts about whether Zack Snyder got it right. And it was the only pic released for a while,so it definitely makes the Top 10!

I wasn't around yet in March 2008, so I'm not sure if this is the first glimpse I got of the Comedian, but it was one of the first ones. He looks terrific all the same, though!
