You may remember that last May Adriana Trigiani, author of the Big Stone Gap books, mentioned in an interview that Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be part of the cast of the movie adaptation.

Nothing ever came of it, but it seems to be back in the news, with the author saying Jeffrey Dean Morgan is “possibility.”

And what of the character she wants him to play? Here’s a description from a JDM fan -

“Jack MacChesney is the sexy mild-mannered coal miner who’s the love interest of the protagonist. Most of the book focuses on how big and manly he is and what a nice backside he has, so…I say they cast the right man for the job, yes?”

Obviously this is a romantic comedy. Is this something you want to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan do again?

I hope everyone is having a great week! There’s not much new happening in the fandom right now, but 2010 should be a great year, with possibly four Jeffrey Dean Morgan movies released.

And we’ve got a lot of variety, with horror in The Resident, action adventure with The Losers and Red Dawn and drama with Shanghai.
