Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Christopher Lee on the Invasion of Privacy set
The Resident, which is confusingly also known as Invasion of Privacy, stars Lee, Morgan (Watchmen) and Hilary Swank (Girls Don’t Cry) and is director Antti J.Jokinen’s feature film debut, having directed music videos for pop icons including Celine Dion and Will Smith.
The story was inspired by the chilling statistic that every year, several million single women in America move into an apartment for the first time. They don’t know who lived in the apartment before them, they don’t know their landlords and they don’t bother to change the locks. This is the story of one such woman….
After separating from her husband, the beautiful and young Dr. Juliet Dermer (Swank) moves to Brooklyn, NY and settles into a new life in a stunning and spacious loft apartment that seems too good to be true. It is…

This is great casting news! Christopher Lee will star alongside Hillary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in "Invasion of Privacy." (Or "The Resident", whatever it’s going to be called).
"We scored some pretty incredible news this afternoon as we’ve learned exclusively that the great Christopher Lee has landed the role of "August" in Hammer Films’ The Resident, which we’re told could be retitled to Invasion Of Privacy. He will star alongside the previously announced cast of Hilary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the film set to be directed by Antti Jokinen this June in New Mexico. Lee initially portrayed villains and became famous for his role as Count Dracula in a string of early Hammer Horror films. He’s also starred in Wicker Man, Gremlins 2, Sleepy Hollow and 8 million other films. In The Resident, Swank will play a doctor who moves into a Brooklyn loft. Becoming suspicious that she’s not alone in her new home, she discovers her landlord is a stalker". Source
I think he was in Lord of the Rings too:)

It looks like Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s movie with Hilary Swank has been re-named "Invasion of Privacy" and is filming in Albuquerque, New Mexico from May to July.
Does this movie still take place in Brooklyn? It seems silly to film a movie set in New York in New Mexico. That’s what Toronto is for!
Here’s a synopsis of the film:
Synposis
Every year, three million single women in America move into an apartment for the first time. They do not know who lived in the apartment before them, they do not know their landlords, and they don’t bother to change the locks. This is the story of one such woman…
After separating from her husband, pretty young doctor Juliet Dermer moves to Brooklyn, settling into a new life in a stunning and spacious loft apartment that seems too good to be true.
It is…
Mysterious occurrences lead her to suspect that she is not alone in her home and quickly her fears become all too real. In a chilling revelation, she discovers that her seemingly charming, young landlord, Max, has developed a dangerous obsession with her. A terrifying game of cat and mouse ensues as Juliet fights to free herself from Max’s sinister intentions.
This erotic and sexy thriller in the vein of Disturbia and Fatal Attraction is written by Antti Jokinen, Robert Orr (Saviour) and Erin Cressida Wilson (Fur, Secretary). Antti Jokinen will direct.
Having a stranger having access to your apartment, creepy or not, is a very scary topic, especially for women. In my first apt. I had a very creepy, but stupid, landlord. He actually took a cheque for the key money! So when I moved out, I showed him the cancelled cheques and said I’d show them to the building owner if he didn’t give me my money back. Very, very stupid.
